Here are some very important tips for choosing Wedding Stationery.

Obtain as many different brochures and information packs as you can, preferably from suppliers who send them out FREE, to get as much detail as you can before choosing your supplier.

Choose a supplier who will not charge you for Draft copies of wordings.

Choose a supplier who will not charge you as a completely new order if you require a few extra Invitations, Place Cards or Order of Service.

Carefully consider the quantity of invitations that you require, always remember that you only need to order ONE invitation per couple/family, plus a few extra for any mistakes or your reserve list.

A good estimating formula is to count the total number of guests, half the total and add on about 10, this will give you a rough guide to the amount to order.

You will only need to order enough evening invitations to send to guests who are not attending the wedding service.

Remember to order Place Cards for every guest (including the bridal party); however, it is always worth checking with your Reception venue, as Place Cards are sometimes included in the Reception cost.

When calculating the quantities for the Order of Service, you can apply the same formula as for the Invitations, plus enough for the Vicar, Choir Boys, Bridesmaids, etc., plus any friends or neighbours who may come just to the service.
